An easy way to prepare rabri at home with only two main ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 4-5 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cardamom
  • 1 tsp saffron
  • 1 tsp rose essence optional


  • Heat a pan on medium flame. You want this pan to be able to hold the milk. Add milk to this pan
  • After the milk boils, add your preferred ingredients; cardamom, saffron, and rose essence
  • Let the milk cook in low flame until it is reduced to at least half the quantity. This should take an hour or more approx
  • Serve with your preferred dessert or as a dessert itself with garnishing
