Cheesy Jalapeño Poppers

Cheesy little bites of jalapeño and potatoes!

  • 6 russet potatoes
  • 250 grams mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup jalapeño cheddar cheese spread
  • 1 can boiled corn
  • 2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapeños chopped finely
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3 tsp chili flakes
  • 3 tsp oregano
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Spring onions to garnish


  • In a pressure cooker, boil potatoes
  • Once cool, peel and mash the boiled potatoes with a potato masher
  • In a large mixing bowl, add mashed potatoes, jalapeños, cheddar cheese spread, corn, and mix well
  • In another mixing bowl, add mozzarella cheese, oregano, chili powder, chili flakes and 1 cup of breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly
  • Add the cheese mixture to the potatoes and make small balls of the mixture
  • In a small bowl mix flour and water and cover the ball in the flour mixture
  • Coat it in the remaining breadcrumbs
  • Add oil to a frying pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the bites and make sure they don't break
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with chili sauce or any sauce you like
